"We realised that when one of us faced a crisis, be it discrimination, a legal emergency, or a health scare, we were often reacting alone and too late. We saw members falling prey to unverified agents or suffering in silence because they didn't know who to trust."
This sobering realisation galvanised a group of committed Zimbabwean professionals in 2024 to establish ZimSA. What began as informal conversations about shared challenges evolved into a structured vision: to create an organisation that would ensure no Zimbabwean in South Africa would face their struggles in isolation. Today, ZimSA stands as a testament to the power of collective action, ubuntu, and proactive community building.
To be the premier organisation fostering an empowered, integrated, and thriving Zimbabwean community in South Africa.
To grow and sustain Zimbabweans in South Africa by providing structured support for social integration, economic empowerment, legal documentation, and cultural preservation.
• Ubuntu • Integrity • Excellence • Inclusivity • Collaboration
ZimSA distinguishes itself through its innovative “digital backbone” approach that bridges the digital and physical worlds, providing centralised, secure, and democratic access to critical support services.
